About Us
The Friends of the Gravette Public Library is an independent, community-driven organization formed with one clear purpose: to support and strengthen the Gravette Public Library.
We believe a thriving library is essential to the well-being of any community. It opens doors for learners of every age, connects neighbors to vital information, and enriches the cultural and civic life of Gravette. Our mission is to ensure that our library has the resources, facilities, and community backing it deserves.
What We Do
As ambassadors to the community, we work to raise awareness of the library's importance and build lasting support for its future. We do this through:
Fundraising — We raise funds through gifts, bequests, and community fundraisers to provide financial support beyond what standard budgets allow.
Community Outreach — We champion the library's value to residents, local businesses, and civic organizations throughout the Gravette area.
Advocacy — We give the library a voice, helping our neighbors understand just how much the library offers and why it matters.
Our Relationship with the Library
While we work together with the Gravette Public Library, the Friends organization is independently operated. This independence allows us to pursue fundraising and advocacy activities on the library's behalf in ways that complement and expand what the library can do on its own.
Our Community
We are your neighbors, readers, parents, educators, and community members who care deeply about Gravette and the role a great library plays in it. We welcome everyone who shares that belief to join us.
The Friends of the Gravette Public Library is guided by a volunteer board of dedicated community members who give their time and leadership to advance our mission.
We welcome community members who are passionate about the library and want to take an active leadership role. Contact us to learn more.
